How human trafficking victims are recruited 😢💔

 

1. Offering you a job

They promise to give you your dream job outside the country and they offer for what you need. They create fake modelling agencies and recruit thier victims and promise them a good flashy lifestyle and a good modelling gigs outside the country.

The reality when their victims arrive they are forced to become mules ( someone that transport drugs) and transport illegal drugs. In most cases their victims have no choice as they are stranded in a foreign country with no means of survival.

2. They promise to cater for your stay abroad

They sell their victims dreams and pay for their  expenses. Finally when their victims are there,they are forced to pay back as they have debts to pay that is impossible to repay and their victims can't leave. In most cases they take their victim's passports to ensure that they do what they want them to do, without them having to leave.

3. Pretending to be In love

This is the most famous trick ever. They pursue you romantically and promise to look after you,take you on holiday and finds you a job. Finally after they have convinced you,they talk you into moving to their country and all that. When you arrive you realise it was all a trick to get you to become a sex slave or a mule.

4.pretending to pay for your school

They offer their victims scholarships or arrange your registration so you can pursue your studies abroad or they create a fake University website and when you arrive you are forced to be a sex slave,  a mule or take body parts from their victims.

Reasons as to why most human trafficking victims can't leave.

1. Violence, they are beaten or tortured

2. Threats, mostly threaten to hurt what you value most etc family

3. Taking documents,they take your passport

4. Drugs, they get you addicted and you see them as the only option of supplying your dose

5. Debts, for everything they spent on their victims needs to be paid back

6.murder, threaten to kill their victims if they don't do what they are told.

We must acknowledge it's existence,we must talk about different ways to change it. This problem doesn't go away by choosing to ignore it,it doesn't get better when we don't open our minds to harsh realities. Any one of us or someone close to us can become a victim of human trafficking. THE TIME IS NOW TO EDUCATE OURSELVES!!!!!!!! #togetherwecanstophumantrafficking
